  • I have to admit: despite the fact they're essentially integrated ads, the animation during the sponsor bumps and the HD opens with "The Tower" look really damn impressive. Gannett should've had the WKYC graphics department produce their standardized graphics packages.

  • Some music info:
    – The open at 5:38 uses the morning open of "Impact V.1," while the one after it uses the noon open.
    – The talent bumper at 6:28 uses the talent open from "The Tower V.1."
    – The open after that one, as well as the bumper at 7:49, use the topical cut.
    – The bumper at 8:00 uses one of the bumper cuts.

The music on the open at 6:14 doesn't sound like any cut of "The Tower" I've heard.

  • Philip Ciccone says:

Hey can you find old news opens for WFMJ WKBN and WYTV and from WTOV and WTRF please from the 70s the 80s and the 90s and the 2000s

  • Charles allen jr says:

The first intro reminds me of WBAL TV 11 in Baltimore, MD.Back then TV 11 was Action News. The 90's one at about 3:30 is WBAL-TV 11 in Baltimore and WGAL-TV 8 in Lancaster/Harrisburg/York PA

  • Even though he was known well as the voice of movie trailers, it was not a bad gig for somebody like Don LaFontaine to be the voice of newscasts for stations like WKYC Channel 3 in Cleveland!

  • WKYC, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland OH, is owned by Tegna Inc. WKYC is the sister station to CBS affiliate WTOL and Fox affiliate WUPW in Toledo OH, fellow NBC affiliate WGRZ in Buffalo NY, and ABC affiliate WZZM in Grand Rapids MI. WKYC will soon be the sister station to CBS affiliate WBNS in Columbus OH.
