WITH THE HEADLINES, I’M TECH. SERGEANT NICHOLAS
KURTZ. THE DoD ESTABLISHED A QUICK RESPONSE TEAM OF AIRMEN, SOLDIERS, AND SAILORS TO RESPOND
A PROVIDE SHORT NOTICE ASSISTANCE TO CIVILIAN MEDICAL FACILITIES IN THE EVENT OF ADDITIONAL
EBOLA CASES IN THE UNITED STATES. THE U-S STRATEGIC COMMAND AND OTHER COMBATANT
COMMANDS AND AGENCIES WRAPPED UO EXERCISE GLOBAL THUNDER THIS WEEK. THE COMMAND AND
CONTROL EXERCISE IS DESIGNED TO TRAIN AND ASSES JOINT OPERATIONAL READINESS ACROSS STRATCOM’S
MISSION AREAS, FOCUSING SPECIFICALLY ON NUCLEAR READINESS.
AND AN AIRMAN FROM ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE’S 89TH COMMUNICATIONS SQUADRON SAVED THE LIFE
OF A WASHINGTON D.C. WOMAN AFTER A CAR CRASH. SSGT ANDREW SMITH WAS ON LEAVE WHEN HE SAW
THE WOMAN’S CAR SWERVE OFF THE ROAD, HIT A TREE, AND ROLL OVER. SGT SMITH SAID HE KNEW
