WITH THE HEADLINES, I’M
TECH SERGEANT HOLLY ROBERTS-DAVIS. AIR FORCE
CHIEF OF STAFF GEN. MARK A. WELSH THE THIRD
REPRESENTED THE AIR FORCE DURING THE 10TH ANNUAL
NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE IN DOWNTOWN
WASHINGTON, D.C THIS WEEK. THE PARADE PAID TRIBUTE TO
THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF WORLD WAR II
AND THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF THE CIVIL
WAR. THE AIR FORCE ANNOUNCED THE SERVICE’S
NEW CHIEF SCIENTIST TO SERVE AS A SCIENCE AND
TECHNOLOGY ADVISOR TO THE SECRETARY OF THE AIR FORCE
AND THE CHIEF OF STAFF OF THE AIR FORCE. DR. GREG
ZACHARIAS WILL BE THE 35TH CHIEF SCIENTIST AND SAYS
HE IS READY TO “DIVE IN” TO HIS NEW ROLE.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OVER 800 CADETS WHOSE FOUR
YEARS OF HARD WORK HAVE PAID OFF AT THE AIR FORCE
ACADEMY IN COLORADO SPRINGS. SECRETARY OF THE
AIR FORCE DEBORAH LEE JAMES HAD THE HONOR
OF BEING THIS YEAR’S COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER.
