Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Social Media Shake Up. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry have shaken up their Instagram page again this month and are now following 17 selected accounts. The featured Instagram pages include organisations that represent “community”, including a riding stables that offers classes for disabled kids, reports The Sun. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the new follows today on their Instagram page, which has 9.6 million followers. Also included in the roundup are the world’s first all-women anti-poaching initiative in South Africa and a group who help homeless street kids get into surfing. The royal couple wrote in the caption of a picture celebrating the organisations: “This month, in celebrating “community”, we asked you to share your favourite organisation from your neighbourhood or around the world. “We want to thank everyone who made a suggestion or kindly shared a positive story! We have now updated the accounts we follow for this month to reflect many of your suggestions! Thank you! “These organisations represent the shared value of togetherness — one that The Duke and Duchess experienced so deeply while on tour in Southern Africa.” The Lotus Petal Family Support group, which were included in the list, said it is an “absolute honour” to be featured by the royals. In May, it was revealed that Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35, who welcomed baby Archie the same month, would only be following accounts of causes they wanted to highlight. At the same time, they also notably unfollowed Kate Middleton and Prince William’s @kensingtonroyal account. For the month of June they supported the LGBTQ+ community by endorsing the Trevor Project, Stonewall UK, and PFLAG. And, in July, they highlighted the work of World Wide Fund for Nature, Dr Jane Goodall, and former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg. Recently they asked their own followers to put forward ideas for who they should champion next, by asking “Who is your force for change?” The couple have just returned from a successful 10-day royal Africa tour with baby Archie. They shared a video of their favourite Africa moments — including Archie’s first royal outing to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
