McDonald's is Advertising Inside of Wendy's | DMTVS: Episode 2

– Can you believe that McDonald's
is actually advertising inside of Wendy's? How could this possibly happen? (lively music) I was recently visiting
Wendy's with my family. We were in one of the
new restaurant locations with a redesign. A lot of QSRs are doing
redesigns right now, and they had a nice, big television on top of this fireplace. And as I'm eating there with my family, I see these slow motion
nuggets falling down. And then I see a thing that comes up and it says, "$1 any size drink." I'm looking at the drink that I have in my hand, and I go, "I just
paid more than $1 for this." And then to my surprise,
as the ad continues, I find out it's an ad for McDonald's. OMG, can you believe your
eyes is what came to mind. It was actually what was on the sign outside of Wendy's as well. Can you believe that McDonald's
is actually advertising inside of Wendy's? How could this possibly happen? Well, I've seen it time and time again. This kind of a thing is a nightmare for business owners and franchisees. None of us wanna see competitors talking to our customers inside of our own spaces, but it's happening more
often than not now, because business owners, when
they buy these televisions, aren't thinking about what to put on them. You see, most people just simply think, oh, toss cable on it. I have cable at home. There's lotsa channels. I can put it on something safe. But what's not safe about it is the fact that your competitors now have a path into your restaurant, into your store, into your business. It's Relevant TV has
a cable TV alternative that we put in place so that
you can have interesting content to make sure that
those customers still enjoy their experience there, but
it controls the messaging. So you can't have a competitor. You won't have McDonald's
inside of a Wendy's. You won't have Burger King
inside of a McDonald's. You won't have any restaurants advertising inside of your restaurant. If you're a car
dealership, the same thing. You won't see a Ford ad
inside of a Chevy dealership. We make sure that all of that
kind of stuff is blocked out and that the focus is on
your customers' experience and on your business. If you have a business,
if you are a franchisee, if you know someone
that is a business owner or a franchisee that has a TV inside of their business, I'd
love to talk with you or them about it and see how we can help you strategize and really
take that TV forward in a very meaningful way. (lively music)
