MA in Media and Communication Arts at Pace University

– Pace University provides students with the ability to follow their passion. Students who graduate with
their Bachelor’s degree look at the world any say, you know, “What am I going to do?” Many of them use the Master’s program to just get that one up. The Master’s opens doors. (upbeat music) – [Preksha] I chose Pace
University because it allowed me to choose from some amazing core courses, like Industry Theory and Practice, Writing for Organizations, Effective Speaking and
Communications Research. I also get to choose from
a wide range of electives, like International Communication to something interesting as Media Law. So I believe that when I
graduate I will be well versed with the many facets of the media industry as well as the technical
knowhow that companies ask for. (upbeat music) – Pace University helped me prepare for a post college career. I’m very thankful for
the program’s emphasis on hard skills that are gonna be needed when you’re out there in the field. In the Master’s program the results that I’ve
seen with the alumnis, a lot of them are very very talented. They’re extremely hard working and they end up going from
the program and find work. As a student I was a associate producer on a documentary film called
Puerto Rico: Hope in the Dark. The film is a class called
Producing a Documentary and I was able to immerse myself in this full on production project. – I think that students find
their passion in the classroom. They take that outside. They discover that it’s not
all gonna come from a book. It’s gonna come from something
that jumps outta the page and what we give our
students is the ability to go out and actually do
what they think they wanna do and see if they really love it. And once they find that, they realize that this
is what they wanna do for the rest of their lives.
