World-renowned cellist Luka ŠuliĆ returns to Lisinski Concert Hall February 5, 2020. The Zagreb concert is part of his world tour introducing his first solo album Vivaldi’s Four Seasons for Solo Cello Choosing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, one of the most celebrated works of classical music he became the first musician in history to play the piece originally written for violin on cello. For me personally, this is a really big challenge as a cellist and as a musician, and one reason is that I believe that through this composition anyone can fall in love with classical music. and that is essentially the point of everything. Expect the unexpected was the motto by which we have come to know Luka’s music and that music is first and foremost a transmission and interpretation of emotions. He also showed it with this album. And during recording, my daughter was born so all together got another bigger bigger and more important dimension so I dedicated the album to my daughter Hana so everything turned out great and I’m very proud and happy. The album ranked # 1 on Billboard’s list of best-selling classical music albums in record time. We heard how difficult it was to work on arranging, recording, finding a team and all this together is a long process, something that has matured in him but in the end when we hear the result, I believe it was worth the effort. Ahead of the album release in October Šulić delighted audiences in Ljubljana with two sold-out concerts. Except Zagreb on 5 February, Šulić will also perform in Belgrade a day later.
