Finding Newspapers via the USF Libraries Website

The USF Library’s website gives students direct access to many different newspaper archives. From the USF library’s homepage, lib.usf.edu, click the tab labelled databases in the main search box area. This will open the databases tab. Select databases by subject from the right hand side. On the left hand side of the page, select newspapers/news under “by Subject”. In the Sub-category box, select “ALL”. Click the round “GO” button to view all of the newspapers that the USF Library gives access to. Some of your best bets include Access World News, Gale virtual reference library, The St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay Times archives online, via NewsBank, and NexusUni. Each database will work a bit differently, but these should all provide good quality public resources. If you have questions about this or any other USF library resource, visit lib.usf.edu, click on help, and choose “more help” for lots of ways to get your questions answered.
