What is our key issue and what is trivial pursuit? How many times have I talked about the DISPARITY? People aren't going to thg he hospitals because they have been refused service for minor operations because of the discrimanative "CountyCare" here I. ILLINOIS. BUT WHAT THEY FAILDD TO REALIZE IS THAT EVERY TIME THEY DENID ME THEY DENIED Jesus Christ who presented his Glory to me in 2007. The love of money is the root of all evil.

  • Erick Erick705 says:

Horse racing is nothing but animal abuse. It's 2020, they should be talking about abolishing that unnecessary, outdated and cruel industry instead.

  • I like how Cuomo directs to his team if he doesn't know an answer. He's not gonna give you a BS answer, he rather have someone who understands the topic to respond.

  • He's gotta please his mobster constituents, and of course the gambling addicts that probably contribute a lot of money to his coffers. What a joke

  • Ernest Scribbler says:

Just yesterday Cuomo chewed up a barber for opening up his business, but today opening gambling is no biggy. Must be essential business. 😎

  • Shane Wilson says:

This low life governor looks like he’s getting his hair cut. Hey New Yorkers.. don’t watch games without fans in the stadiums, don’t watch Nascar without fans. Take back your freedoms & liberties. Do Not accept their β€œnew normal” if we do we will never get our normal lives & our way of life back.

  • Ghostrunner CO says:

Eating bats is animal cruelty but having horses β€œcompete” in something that could possibly lead to a life ending injury isn’t.πŸ€”

Drunk people betting on domesticated animals super essential

  • VOTERS of NY. You voted him in office. Vote does matter. Solvent states will not bail you out. Might be time to move or bounce them out of office.

  • Newcastle Music Studios says:

This guy has no credibility. Horse racing.. economic activity. Which essential category does that fall into?? Right next to liquor stores in my town.

  • Matthew Antis says:

The stimulus check should be adjusted for cost of living by state. Sorry but 1200 in Georgia is way diff than 1200 in NYC

  • I bet when the casinos outside of Nevada and Jersey start taking a hit, the government will take another look into allowing online gambling.

  • MrTrackman100 says:

Good news! We need some sports diversion in these depressing times. If Cuomo can safely allow horse racing, baseball, tennis, golf, etc. under sensible guidelines (no fans, etc., etc.) then let's do it!!

  • Josh Johnson says:

Pay attention to the politicians people. They are showing their true colors. This next election cycle should be focused on replacing these bums.

  • Yes!! Genius! Just like the UFC. It turned out much better without the crowds. Actually, alot of UFC fans and fighters like it better this way. It shouldn't be a debate. Safety first. Atleast ur getting entertainment that you'll enjoy much better. Give it a try.

  • It's extraordinary what's considered important by human beings.

Wanting to watch Irish man boys ride horses around a field. You'd think in a pandemic things like that would just quietly disappear. But no. There's an interest. A demand even. What an extraordinary load of bollocks.

  • I can’t wait until a year from now and they admit the covid pandemic was all a plot to enable mail in voting to screw over Trump. #Trump2020

It's obvious that New York never had a plan for a pandemic… it's also obvious that Homeland Security is an agency that is in its infancy…. 34 🚩🚩🚩

  • Bill Schmidt says:

Yeah, Fredos brother, that’s what NY really needs is to watch horses run around a track. That goes with liquor stores being essential businesses. I used to think that Fredo and Fredos brother were a bubble off but it appears they are several bubbles off. Too bad for NY.

  • Why are people acting like this dude has done anything great? His state is the worst, he put corona patients back in nursing homes, which is where like 50% of his deaths came from, he didn’t clean the subways til May. What am I missing here!

  • The horses are already being cared for and trained right now. To run the races requires only 60 extra people in a huge complex that will add almost no risk at all because they will masked and distanced. This is a no brain correct decision.

  • Can horses get Covid? Beyond that, it's understandable that a limited reopening could provide some needed entertainment and economic stimulus. That being said, this might be a prime opportunity to improve the state of affairs in the horse racing world, which to my limited knowledge is losing credibilty b/c of all the garbage that goes on under the radar, Santa Anita being an important example with so many horses lost and races compromised. Take solid steps to curb illegal and hurtful drug use on the horses and ensure their health. Make sure adequate protections are established for both people and horses. Betting's ok but do it cleanly, if that makes any sense. It's a chance to promote a good sport, if done right, otherwise eventually people will wise up and in today's world, at least in the US, you can kiss it good-bye.

  • Why you put the economy first. You Don't have any idea from another thing.I believe their are much epidemic in the future what you think when you get a million apedemic arrive in the morning and in the future

  • Anonymous Google says:

Trump and the Fox News Crowd think this coronavirus pandemic is all a hoax.
Why 48 states are reopening is beyond me. You'd think the reason there were not masses amounts of deaths in the first place is because they got the quarantine lockdown going in time.
We will find out if it was exaggerated or not in upcoming weeks if the death rate begins to skyrocket.

Have the demands of the horse union been met? Demands like fresher grass and better healthcare must be met before the much coveted horse hoof stomp of approval. Also the Clever Hans Institute of Higher Equine Studies says further studies are needed for understanding the impact of isolation in horse stables. The last thing the institute needs is another ney from Cuomo.

  • CusacksCoasters says:

I'm actually glad the horse racing is opening back up. Gives some kind of gambling on NYRA bets in the meantime until the actual casinos open up.

  • Meghan Fredericks says:

Horse industry relies on gambling income. Just like the meat packing facilities had to euthanize animals while workers fell ill, horses still eat when barn's income disappears. If they can't feed them, what do you think happens to the horses?

  • Bugaboo Boon says:

When it’s all said & done, the death toll from COVID 19 virus will become a statistic found on the CDC & WHO websites. The destruction of lives, families, businesses, deaths by suicide, mental illnesses, psychiatric problems caused from the fix, will linger for decades. These grave consequences will matter the most. Americans won’t forget nor forgive.

  • Agustin DeJesus says:

Opening tracks with no fans…..is like not opening. Betting from home to accounts is no fun. We like to go to the tracks and tracks workers need to work unless Cuomo is going to support them with big paychecks. Forget about unemployment.
