Breaking Bad Cast | Where Are They Now | El Camino Movie 2019

After Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan
would introduce the world to Walter White, a terminally ill teacher who starts selling
meth with an former student to make sure his family would be financially stable After Brian Cranston would be nominated for
a golden globe 4 consecutive years, and win 5 Emmy’s for Outstanding Lead Actor in a
Drama Series for his role of Walter White After Aaron Paul, RJ Mitte, Dean Norris, Anna
Gunn and Betsy Brandt would go on to receive countless TV and movie roles following their
performances in the hit show After Breaking Bad would spawn a spin off
prequel, Better Call Saul, staring the show’s greasy lawyer, played by Bob Odenkirk Breaking Bad has been considered by many to
be one of the greatest television shows of all time. Ranked number 3 by Rolling Stone magazine,
behind only The Wire and The Sopranos, and considered to be even better than the previous
two according to a Forbes article back in 2013, there’s no doubt the show made it’s
mark in TV history. I was so addicted to it, I felt like I was
on Meth. Not only has it gone on to give careers to
a handful of the show’s regular, and occasional actors, but in total it’s been nominated
for 228 awards and won 148 according to IMDB. Aside from spawning a prequel tv show, Better
Call Saul, which just wrapped shooting it’s 5th season, on October 11th, Netflix is going
to be releasing a Breaking Bad film titled El Camino. However this film is being released 6 years
after Breaking Bad wrapped in 2013. So we’re here to tell you guys what the
cast has been up to, and although majority of them shined on the show, the transition
into other work hasn’t been so smooth for some. Three of the shows stars even went on to create
an alcoholic beverage, with one going solo and a familiar duo partnering up, while another
voiced a character in the sequel to the Incredibles. And one even took a job with the government. Maybe he wasn’t acting after all. What’s going on guys, Im your host Jarred
Bronstein and welcome back to Where Are They Now here for you on Before They Were Famous. Make sure that you subscribe to the channel
and ring that bell so you never miss a video. Of course let us know in the comments down
below who you’d like us to cover next on this series, as we’re always open to your
suggestions. But let’s get into this one and talk about
what the Breaking Bad cast has been up to, since the final episode of their incredibly
successful show. And quick note, there are some spoilers so
if you haven’t seen the show. Well you had 6 years so this ones on you. Of course, to start us off we’re talking
about the show’s main character, Walter White, aka Heisenberg, real name Mr. Bryan
Cranston. Cranston’s had quite a career in film and
TV, first breaking out as the dad in the tv show Malcom in the Middle. After he shocked the world portraying Walter
White, a terminally ill family man who cooks meth to take care of his family after he dies,
it seemed he was at the peak of his career. But following the success of the show, Cranston
continued to work in very high profile productions. Following the show, he went on to perform
in the broadway production of All The Way, portraying US President Lyndon B Johnson. He would go on to win the Tony Award for Best
Actor in a Play for his performance. His on screen performance, which transitioned
onto stage, would bring him onto the big screen, having him star in the 2015 film Trumbo. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance
as the film’s lead, Dalton Trumbo, and although he didn’t win, his performance was noted
by critics in the industry, giving him his first nomination at the award show. Cranston went on to star in a handful of films,
including the HBO movie adaptation of All The Way, in which he reprised the role he
won his Tony for. Cranston also won a tony in June of 2019 for
his role in the broadway play Network, and created and appeared in the Amazon Prime show
Sneaky Pete, which ran for 3 seasons. At the time of this recording, Cranston has
3 projects expected to come out in 2020, and partnered up with Aaron Paul, who’s next
on our list, to create their own alcoholic beverage, Dos Hombres. Cranston made the announcement on instagram,
citing the incredible bond he and Paul had while filming Breaking Bad for one of the
reasons they decided to partner in this venture. Aaron Paul, better know as Jesse Pinkmore
who pretty much coined the phrase b****! Has been a very busy man. After winning three Emmy Awards for his role
on the TV show, Paul went on to voice characters in every episode of the Netflix animated series
BoJack Horseman. In 2014 he starred in Need for Speed, and
in 2016 was a part of Central Intelligence which starred Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson. Paul also went on to star on a Hulu original,
The Path, and a cameo in Black Mirror. Of course he teamed up with Cranston in 2019
to create this alcoholic beverage I’m very interested in trying, so if you got the hook
ups, lemme know. But above all else, Paul proposed to his longtime
girlfriend, Lauren Parsekian, in 2011 and they got married 2013. Cranston was actually one of the groomsmen
at the ceremony, and in 2018, Paul gave birth to a mini Jesse Pinkman as you can see here. Either way it seems like Paul is continuing
to thrive in Hollywood, with a tv series, Truth Be Told in post production. He’s also starring in the next season of
Westworld when it comes out in 2020, and of course, has everyone anticipating his return
to the iconic Pinkman in the breaking bad movie, El Camino, expecting to be released
on October 11th. Rj Mitte played Walt Jr, the family’s son
who has cerebral palsy. Mitte actually does have the disease in real
life, but not as bad of a case as he portrays in the show. And although it may seem challenging for an
actor with a physical disability to make a name for thresmevels in the film industry,
it seems RJ hasn’t had much trouble at all, following his break out role. Starring in the 2017 film The Recall, as well
as countless other movies, with 2 films in post production, 3 in pre production, and
one in the middle of filming at the time of this recording, Mitte’s momentum really
hasn’t slowed down at all. Aside from his on screen presence, RJ has
modelled for Gap and walked the runway in 2015 at the Vivienne Westwood menswear show
in Milan. He’s also an ambassador for United Cerebral
Palsy, and brings awareness to it every time he has the chance, as you can see here in
an interview with Larry King. When it comes to his personal life, Mitte
has been tied to actress Jodi Lyn O’Keefe since 2013, although it seems like Jodi is
currently dating photographer Douglas Little, while RJ is busy making more films. Possibly one of the show’s strongest characters,
Anna Gunn’s portrayal of Skylar White, Walt’s wife, was good enough to win her two Emmys
for her supporting role. And following her iconic role in the show,
she went on to guest star on shows such as Criminal Minds and The Mindy Project and most
recently do a production of the Tennessee Williams play, The Night of the Iguana at
London’s West End Theatre. Most notably she costarred alongside Tom Hanks
in the film Sully in 2016, directed by Clint Eastwood. But other than that, it seems things have
been somewhat quiet following the hit tv show. She did comment on how she felt after receiving
a ton of backlash for her portrayal of the character of Skyler though, with fans speaking
to her as if she really was the character. Love him or hate him, Hank, the arrogant DEA
agent that plays Hank’s brother in-law was beautifully portrayed by Dean Norris. It seems as if the cop or military role was
made for a guy like Norris, which is why he’s gone on to play similar roles in The Big Bang
Theory, and the film Death Wish. However Norris also landed a recurring role
on the hit tv show Scandal, and played Uncle Daddy, a mob boss on the TNT show Claws. Norris also has a tv show and film in post
production, as well as another film in pre production. Aside from continuing to pursue a career in
film, Norris has also done his fair share of business beyond the screen. Norris and his wife opened the Norris Performing
Arts Center in Murietta, California, in August of 2017. With the goal of creating a space for youths
who are interested in the arts, acting, drawing, dancing, and painting, to have a chance to
grow their creative muscle. Although it also offers classes for adults,
it seems the main purpose was to serve the kids. Norris spoke on the project saying It’s
nice to provide a place where creative kids can feel at home. On top of this, he also got the rights to
create a fictional beer that fans of Breaking Bad seemed to gravitate to. Schraderbrau, the homemade beer that Hank
tried to make un the show, is now a real thing sold online at schraderbrau.com. Betsy Brandt played hank’s wife, Marie. Probably one of the least likeable characters
on the show, in my opinion, but she was so good at it, The role lead to tons of other
opportunities. And I mean, a ton. While on breaking bad Brandt played a reoccurring
role in the show Masters of Sex, The Michael J Fox Show, and then moved onto Life In Pieces
from 2015-2019. In between she of course also worked on a
handful of films and currently has 2 other films in post production. Of course they say an actors medium is the
stage, which is why she also starred in the Pasadena Playhouse production of Good Boys
which ran from June 26th to July 21st. It seems the mother of 2 isn’t planning
on slowing her momentum anytime soon, and I will say it is definitely well deserved. You guys remember that greasy, slimy looking
lawyer that was pretty much the epitome of an ambulance chaser? Well he got his own show. Bob Odenkirk better know as Saul Goodman in
the show, has done insanely well for himself, following his amazing performances on Breaking
Bad. Aside from being the shows main protagonist
in Better Call Saul, which is currently expecting to release it’s 5th season, and film it’s
6th and final season next year, Odenkirk has been insanely busy on both sides of the camera. Aside from being considered an executive producer
of the show, he’s also been nominated 3 consecutive years at the golden globes for
best actor, which will help your career immensely. Odenkirk has written for shows like The Birthday
Boys, and the film Girlfriends Day, both of which he had a feature in. He also had a reoccurring role in Fargo, and
currently has two films on the way. Little Women is expected to hit theatres on
Christmas day 2019, and Nobody is currently in preproduction but will be Odekirk’s transition
into a lead role in an action film. Keep your eye out for that film, because if
Odenkirk brings the type of performance you know he can, it’ll be a good one. And although Odenkirk has produced, written,
and directed in the past, it seems his focus moving forward is to just act and leave the
rest to other’s. 1:00-1:14 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xiF8yka2h0 Well that was a long one but I wanted to cover
all bases. I know, I didn’t cover Gus or Badger or
even the Car Wash guy with the bushy eyebrows but there is only so much the Fact God can
fit into one video. You guys gotta let us know in the comments
below who you’d want to see next in this series. What about the cast of Friends? I mean Jen’s killing it but Matthew Perry
has seen better days, anyways I’ve been your host Michael McCrudden and I’ll see you
guys in the next video. BOOM!
