Biz Kids: Beach Coast Earrings | CBC Kids News


None of my friends
have a business so when people hear about us having a business
they’re really shocked. ♪ ♪ I’m making
earrings. I’m making
sand earrings. So this one you
only use one colour. And you make
the link again. You cut them into a little
squares, roll them into balls, And when you put them
on top of the sand like that. You just dress down. And then you
have an earring. ♪ ♪ Think of something
like the ocean and imagine all
the different colours – blues and types
of greens. Then you kind of swirl them
together and you have the ocean. So we’re all like
co-owners of the business. No one is like president,
vice-president. We all have the same job. ♪ ♪ We wanted to do
a taco bar at first. And it was a lot of money
and then we
decided to do crafts, because we were
really creative. ♪ ♪ I think our earrings
are so special because they’re made by
youth and because they’re homemade
and they’re local. ♪ ♪ Well, we do a lot of blue
because like the east coast is a lot to do with like blue and the beaches
and the oceans and stuff. We have a Instagram account
and email so people can reach us through
that but we also go to craft fairs
and craft shows and stuff, and so people
buy from us there. And then we just sell to our
friends, family, neighbours. ♪ ♪ We’re part
of a community and it’s important
to give back your share. ♪ ♪ We’re all so happy that
we’re getting the award because it was…we started from just,
you know, thinking of some ideas going to a camp,
to where we are now – getting an award for a business
that we have. Anyone can start a business you just have to have
a really creative idea. It’s really fun. And like we do
it all as a team ♪ ♪
