BALANCING MOTHER/TEEN RELATIONSHIPS | FIRST TIME ON LIVE TELEVISION | THE LEROYS

– Come on, you guys, gotta film our intro. Let’s do this fast, the faster we do it, the faster we’re done. – Okay, come on girls,
let’s go girls, come on, let’s get in here. Hey Perri, come on, no unicorns please. – Okay, where’s Kesley? – Kesley, where are you? – Mom, she’s on her phone. – Uh, we’re always waiting on her. – Hey, give us your phone,
here give me your phone. Okay Rhett, no, seriously
you guys, come on. – Back to the way we were.
– Ugh Perri, give me your gum. Just pretend we’re happy all the time. – You guys ready? – [Man] And cut, that’s it. – Oh, good. We’re done. (upbeat music) I am sicker than a dog this morning and I am going on TV, it’s wonderful. I have had the worst cold all night. I am hoping that my voice
will start to clear up a little bit this afternoon. I’m trying to gargle
like, apple cider vinegar and just feel better. I’ve got my head in a horrendous head cold and I just don’t feel well at all. I slept horrible last
night, got body aches, like I am not feeling well
and we’re going on TV today. I’m nervous, I’m very nervous. (hair dryer blowing) So, I think the thing
that makes me most nervous is to make sure I remember
everything that needs to be said. And I’m hoping I don’t
start to cough in the middle of a sentence because my
throat is so dry right now. Like I feel like I’m gonna start coughing. It’s like the worst, I have
like that really itchy throat. It’s not necessarily sore. It’s just really itchy
and dry so when I start talking too much, it
actually makes me wanna cough and I’m nervous about
that, that I’m gonna cough. I may or may not have been kinda a beast this morning to my family. I’ve been so stressed out
about it, not feeling good on top of it and then having
to stress about going on TV. It’s freaking me out! Shout out to Nest Boutique for helping me pick an outfit for today. I am so excited for you to see
what they helped me choose. You guys, I am so sorry. The whole time I was doing
makeup I was thinking it was on record and it wasn’t. So, I just finished doing
makeup and I got my outfit on. And I’m just gonna put my
shoes, and then go hurry and grab something to eat
and then we are out of here. So what do you think about my outfit? – Cute. Very cute. – [Shanna] You like that girl? – Yes. – [Shanna] Does my voice
still sound pretty blah? – No. – [Shanna] It sounds deeper than normal. – Yeah, but nobody will notice. – This is my outfit. Shoes are from the Nest, also jeans. – [Cory] Very cute. – I don’t wear jewelry ever,
and so this was big for me. – [Cory] Big Deal. Hairs cute. Outfits cute. And Rhett’s whining. What? Look, look where you’re standing. Look where you’re standing. About 20 feet above the stairs, kid. – Not 20. – [Cory] Come on, get off the railing. – That’s like 10. – [Cory] It’s dangerous. – [Cory] You ready?
– Yep. [Rhett] No. – I’m nervous.
– [Cory] Excited? – No.
– [Cory] Why not? – I’m nervous. I’m just anxious, I wanna be done. – [Cory] Yeah, I know. I get it. Okay, let’s go. (relaxing music) – I’m so nervous. Cory was going over my notes with me. – Don’t be. You’ll do great. – Not stutter on my words. I think that’s my biggest fear. It’s because when I get
nervous I talk really fast and then like, I stutter
like (mimics stuttering) You know, I get nervous. And so I was like trying to remain calm and like, I’m just nervous. (upbeat music) – Welcome back into Studio 5. If you have not heard of

parents and teens alike. (upbeat music) – Since we’re downtown in
Salt Lake we thought we would just come by City Creek Shopping Center and come and shop for
some clothes for Rhett for back to school because we
didn’t get Rhett anything yet. So, we’re gonna go do
that and maybe finish up a couple things for Perri,
’cause Perri could use a few things like some shoes
for both Reese and Perri. They need some shoes for school. Kesley’s all done. No more shopping for you, girlfriend. None. (upbeat music) So, we’re in H&M right now
and we are looking for some clothes for Rhett. I am going to hand the camera off to him. He is going to go find what
he wants because, you guys, he’s at a hard age. I don’t know what he wants. – Wait, I saw something. I don’t know where it went. I was thinking this shirt right here. Or, what’s this one? I didn’t see this one. I want this. – [Kesley] Oh! – I want this.
– [Kesley] I hope you are. That is cute. That actually is cute. Let’s see what size it is. 12-14. What do you want? Like what are you thinking? – Comfortable. – Comfy clothes? – Yes. – If you guys know,
Rhett and Reese and Perri have an account and so I
did this ask question thing. That was me L-O-L. L-O-L, I said L-O-L in
real life, oh my gosh. Okay, anyways. So I said why did you post that Rhett. And then there’s all these questions. So you guys should go follow
it ’cause they’re so cute! They have like the cutest posts. What have you found? That’s cute. Rhett, that’s cute. Oh my gosh, Perri. – [Cory] Did you find
anything in your size? (mumbling) – Oh my god. – [Kesley] Why are we going on this? Oh my gosh, I almost fell. Bye Mom.
– [Rhett] Bye Mom. We can’t- (laughs) – So we are having no luck with Rhett. I think we should go back
downstairs where Mom is. Oh, that’s a cute shirt. It’s just really fancy. Where’s Mother? Hello Mother! Hello!
– [Rhett] Hello! – [Kesley] What up. Okay, so Rhett is looking at these. – So (gasps) my favorite animal. I know they don’t exist
but these are my favorite. – [Shanna] Perri begged
Cory and Cory’s a sucker. Cory’s a sucker ’cause he got- – [Cory] I’m a sucker for cute. – [Shanna] He’s a sucker
for cute ’cause she can’t but she’s all “Dad,
please can I get this?” and he said yes. – It’s like a summer hat. – [Shanna] Like a summer hat. – I can’t wear it at school though. – [Shanna] No. You look very cute. – Not one bit. – [Shanna] Nope. Maybe for hat day. Rhett, tell Dad what you just told me when you looked over here. – [Cory] What? – [Rhett] Ew, look at those. – [Cory] Ew? Yeah, that’s what I say. – [Shanna] No, he said,
“That’s weird over there.” – [Cory] That’s weird. I agree, I agree, Rhett. – [Shanna] Look, Cory. We found it. This is Rhett’s alley right here. He’s very excited about this. Okay, I really like that. – [Rhett] I found this so far, Dad. – [Shanna] Okay, well
we’re gonna find your size, so what size is this one? – [Rhett] 10. – [Shanna] So you need a…
nope, you need a large. – [Rhett] Dang it. – [Shanna] Oh Rhett, I
like that sweatshirt. – [Rhett] Yeah, but I like these more. – No, I like this more. – This more. – [Kesley] Would he have to get a small? – [Shanna] Okay, you guys. This is gonna be really
hard shopping for Rhett because he is determined to not have a pair of jeans for school. Rhett, you have to have
a pair of jeans at least. – No. Okay, give me one. I’m not wearing any. – [Shanna] What? – [Rhett] I’m not wearing any jeans. – [Shanna] You have to wear jeans, Rhett. Look it was a fight even
getting him to wear these. And look how cute those are. He’s all about these and
like those Adidas joggers. That’s all he want to wear. Rhett, we got some Nike joggers. – These. – [Shanna] Oh my gosh, Cory.
– [Rhett] I like these. – [Shanna] Cory, what we gonna do? I love that sweatshirt. – [Kesley] Which one, Rhett? – [Rhett] That one. – [Shanna] Good taste, Rhe. – [Kesley] Small one or a large? – [Shanna] No, he needs a large. Well, let’s try it on him real quick. Rhett, put that on. I gotta make sure this fits you. – [Cory] That’s cute. – [Shanna] Let’s see how it fits. – [Cory] That fits you good. – [Shanna] Oh, that’s perfect fit, Rhett. Watch, he will freak out when
I bring these over to him. What do you think of these ones? – These would be good
if I didn’t have these. – [Cory] Yeah, they’re well fitted. – [Shanna] Those do fit you. Those look good. What do you think of these? – Yeah. – [Shanna] Did you see that? He did the test. He had to feel them. – I want these. – [Shanna] Wanna try them on
first? To make sure they fit. – [Kesley] What’s the test? – [Cory] He just touches them. – [Shanna] Okay, we got Rhett
a few items from Macy’s. Got him a pair of pants and two shirts. Did we get that sweatshirt for you? – [Rhett] What sweatshirt? – [Shanna] Didn’t you
wanna get that sweatshirt? – [Rhett] We didn’t get it. – [Shanna] Oh shoot. Okay, well. Guess I got to go find you a
sweatshirt somewhere else then. We are finished, I think, shopping. I’m not feeling good. I’m having such a hard time like… I don’t know. I’m trying to like have
high spirits for these ones but man, I am not feeling well. We’ll continue to shop
and things for Rhett and find him what he needs. Man, I am just not feeling good at all. – Even bloggers have sick days. – Even bloggers have sick days. And Lucy’s at home and I wanna go get her. So, we’re gonna go home
and get home to our puppy. – [Rhett] This is at
home in the cold house. In the nice cool house. – [Rhett] Yeah. – You know, she’s nice and cool. We’re gonna go home and we’ll get her. (upbeat music)
