but here are some things to be wary of with Social Media… 1) Depression and Anxiety

when comparing yourself to others – Or from negativity that can compound on
social media 2) FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)
– Many on Social Media portray success in a specific way…
– …of living a lavish lifestyle and earning huge sums of money
– This can lead to people feeling like they’re missing out
– Particularly with the latest fashions or trends 3) Cyberbullying
– The Internet and Social Media are still in their infancy
– Therefore, it’s still difficult to monitor activity
– Leading to bullying online, which can often be a continuation of bullying in real life 4) Negative Perception
– It’s easy to have the wrong perception of others on Social Media
– This is because it’s easy to compare yourself to others…
– …who appear to lead exciting lives – It’s worth remembering, you only see the

Apologies for the echo in the sound. I've been adjusting to a new mic lately so still trying to find the right balance. I will be working to iron out the kinks though and hopefully you should see significant improvements in the recordings.

  • Great video and some great tips, I also did a video on the pros and cons of social media and a lot of out points match up. I think one of the biggest problems is comparing yourself to others. Not only in terms of comparing their lifestyle but also the amount of likes and followers they have.

Major ADD and self esteem issues man. I think social media can be used for good, but like anything else, only in moderation and for the right reasons.

  • Great video. Everything is not always what it seems on Social Media. Some Folks do tend to feel like they're missing out. When actually it doesn't cost a dime to enjoy real life. Beauty is all around us. Awesome advice.

Thank you so much for sharing, I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts! Personally for me I think you're right but I think we should focus on our human reactions to these negative things because Ik exactly what you mean their are so many problems that can occur due to social media however I believe if we spend more time working on ourselves to where these things don't effect us we can use the positive side of social media while not being effected by the negative side but that's just my opinion:) Great video and keep up the amazing things you are doing here on YouTube!
